Addictions, Ding Dong Ditch, And Weihnachten

Hallo Leute!

This week was incredible!

The other day we organized an activity with our district and we baked 350 cookies to deliver to members. It was a ton of fun, and we actually saw a lot of success! We stopped by two peoples' houses who hadn't been responding to our texts or calls, and they both really appreciated the cookies and we are now in contact with them! On a side note I ate way too many cookies. I need to stop, someone stop me.

The other day we wanted to deliver some cookies to a couple of members who we hadn't met before, and one who we are pretty close with named Sören. Turns out we has put our extra plates of cookies in the one cabinet that gets locked, so we couldn't even get our cookies. So we sat down, said a prayer, opened the map with all of our members on my phone, and swirled my finger around the map, and when Elder Laurence said stop, I pressed my finger down, and what do you know! I just happened to click on Sören out of the 150 little dots on the map. So we figured that was sorta God's way that we really did need to visit him, so we did! We stole some cookies we found in the church, and a can of soda that an Elder left in the church, and we went by Sören's. We rang the doorbell and he told us that he was not doing well, and was really sick, so we left the stuff on his doorstep. This morning he texted us saying how grateful he was and that he was especially grateful for WHAT we brought over. It might sound silly, but I think God didn't want us to just bring over a plate of cookies. God knows each of us so individually and so well, he wants us to be happy, and even knows our favorite soda! Maybe Sören really just needed that right then and there.

We also had Zone Conference on Monday! It was a ton of fun and I learned a lot. President Hammon talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what it actually means to follow Him. We had an awesome activity where there were a ton of pictures of Christ hung up in the hallways and for about 15 minutes we just walked around looking at the pictures and thinking about what Christ means to us. Looking at one of the pictures, the scripture Mosiah 3:7 popped into my head, even though I didn't remember what it was about. Look it up! There was a reason the Holy Ghost brought that to my remembrance at that time.

On Friday we were on an exchange with the Essen Elders, and I was with Elder Christensen, and after Zone Conference we started an exchange with the Hamm Elders, and was with Elder Christiansen. Two exchanges in one week with two different Elder Christen(ian)sen's and both were awesome.

Anyways, that's all for this week! Also I have become addicted to mugs from Christmas Markets. Today I got two more. I now have 7.

See yall next week and have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! Please remember the reason for the season. The birth of Jesus Christ, the one who gave His life, so that we would have someone who understands everything we go through, and so that we would have means through which the guilt and pit in the stomach from any mistake you have ever made can be erased. It's pretty cool if you ask me!

Love yall!

Frohe Weihnachten!!!
