Miracles On 1st, 2nd, And 3rd Street

This week was really awesome! We found 4 new people to teach!   Last Thursday we spent the night in Frankfurt because we had to be there the next day for another conference with other missionaries from around the mission, and so we and about 12 other Elders decided to go out and talk to people for about 1 hour and set a goal to get 50 phone numbers from people who were interested. We got a total of 51! It was a night of miracles and the Spirit was so strong and we strived so hard to reach the goal!   We also have been trying to meet with this one potential friend Emanuel for a while, but he was always busy and tired and so we could never meet. He was going to cancel again, but we asked him if we could just come by and visit him instead of him having to travel. So we did and we ended up having an awesome lesson where he testified to us that the Book of Mormon was true, even though we had only talked to him about it for 10 minutes. It was incredible. We will probably be inviting...

Got It In The Bag, Russki, And The Scientific Method

Hallo Leute!   It was another awesome week, like usual. I've got plenty of ups and downs, but I promise you an attitude of gratitude will change your life (I sound like my mom during Thanksgiving).   We saw a lot of miracles this week. We went on a split with the elders in Hamm. We went street contacting and we passed a guy who I felt like I should talk to, so I did, and he was really interested in the Book of Mormon. I also had the feeling that morning to put an English Book of Mormon in my bag, and the guy (Jerome) didn't speak any German, just English. I also was able to give him the restoration pamphlet which he was also excited about. That evening I got a call from the other Dortmund Elders who asked "Did you talk to a guy named Jerome earlier?" And I said "Yeah..." and apparently the other Elders saw Jerome had a Book of Mormon in hand and talked to him in a subway train right after I had talked to him on the street. They talked to him a lot more about...

Spanish Sign Language, Watch Your Step, and Allan^2

Hallo meine liebe Leute!   How yall doing? This week was awesome! Besides the fact that I found out I was getting transferred! I had really grown to love Darmstadt and the ward, and it was hard to leave for sure.   Sunday and Monday was a lot of running around visiting friends and members to say goodbye. I am honestly so grateful for technology though and that I will be able to stay in contact with them. It was especially hard to say goodbye to Johny, the group leader of the Spanish group.I have never been more motivated to learn Spanish. Although I can't speak much Spanish, he is one of the smiley-est and most loving people I have ever met. We have sort of formed our own language with a mix of sounds, hand gestures, nods, and a couple Spanish and German words mixed in. Somehow, probably through the Spirit, we manage to understand each other. Just being around him I feel the love of Christ, it's crazy!    We also visited the Sauer family! They are so funny and sarcas...

Orbits, Miracle Finding, And Who Is This Guy?

Hallo Leute!   Man guys! This was an incredible week! We have really started to see the success from our efforts this week.   I think I mentioned this last week, but Ceylin, who was taught earlier by the missionaries (i met her once in my first transfer here in Darmstadt) decided that she wants to get baptized!!!! We had lost contact with her for a while, but we happened to run into her at Frankfurt train station, which has thousands of people going through it every hour. What are the chances! That night she texted us telling us she wanted to get baptized. God had our orbits collide! It was meant to  be.   Yesterday we did a district finding acitvity and saw so many miracles. I was with Elder Frew, and in just about 30 minutes we met 3 people who were genuinely interested and we exchanged numbers!  We also went on exchanges with the Office Elders, and I was with Elder Jones in Frankfurt. Since he had never done it before, and I had only done it once before, we d...
