The Plague, Mutual, And Rules

Grüß euch!   This week was great! (For the most part)   On Saturday I had a bit of a cough but thought nothing of it. On Sunday it was getting a bit worse, and I was trying to not annoy everyone during Sacrament meeting. Throughout the day it got a lot worse, and my sinuses started to wack out, so I went and got tested for COVID.... and...... I tested negative yayyy! I still felt like I had some crazy disease and that my body was going to explode, but I survived! So I think its been allergies cause I bought some allergy meds at the pharmacy (also shout out to the lady at the pharmacy who gave me a tissue when she heard me sniffling). But we are doing better today!   On Tuesday Morning we got the call that Elder Urban finally tested negative and would be heading over here to Darmstadt, so my temporary but amazing 1 week companion Elder Stevens left as well for Nürnberg. It was a fun time!   We also visited a family we didn't know who were new in the ward. She is from ...

South Of The Border, Groovin, And Glücklich

Hallo liebe Leute! An awesome week!   On Thursday I went on a split with Elder Carruthers in Frankfurt. We had a lesson with an American dude who is involved in his own sorta mission currently helping teach people about Christ which is really cool. He mostly wanted to learn more about what we believe. We met in a Mexican Restaurant, so needless to say, I was pretty excited, but my expectations were not high since we are in Germany. I ordered a plate with 4 soft tacos which were about the size of a slightly larger than average oreo with two spoonfuls of rice on the side, only for 14 bucks! And it tasted like German food with a Mexican name. Anyways, the lesson was incredible. As we testified to him that the Book of Mormon was true, and that if he read it and prayed about it God would give him an answer to confirm its truth, the Spirit was so strong, it was really cool. It was honestly strong enough that it even seemed to drain out the Mexican party music playing in the background. ...

Hallöchen liebe Leute! A great week! But this one might be a bit short.   On Sunday our friend Sam came to church and afterwards we had an awesome lesson and he decided to be baptized on August 20th! We are so excited for him. He is so ready to learn and loves the Gospel so much.   On Monday we made quilt squares with the young adults to make blankets for the new babies in the ward, which was a lot of fun, even thoughmine sorta looked like I found it in the trash, but thats ok, I dont think the baby will notice.   We also talked with our friend Višja from Croatia and she has been reading in the Book of Mormon and praying about it. We are so excited for her because she is willing to exercise faith by reading and praying, trusting that God will bless her for her efforts.   We also have had a lot of success this week with contacting former friends in areabook. Of course we run into people who threaten to sue us if we text them again or tell us to get mental help, but th...

Hallo alle! Sorry I missed sending an email last week, I was pretty busy! I have a bit to talk about, so sorry it might be a long email. I will separate it into what happened 2 weeks ago and what happened last week.   TWO WEEKS AGO! On Friday we met with our friend Sam who was referred to us by other missionaries. He is already ready for baptism! He is from Iraq and has met a couple times with the Elders in our mission who speak Persian. We talked to him a little about baptism, and we asked him to pray if that was something he wanted to do. So he did and the next day he said "I want to be baptized on July 10th!". We were so surprised, and although it won't happen on July 10th because we still have some more to teach, it will definitely be soon. He is so awesome and his faith is so admirable.   On Saturday we had an awesome devotional + grill with the young adults in our ward. The ward I am in is actually pretty close to the size of an American ward, but even more young pe...
