Frankfurt Germany Mission #15 - Someone New, A Train, And I'm A Celebrity

Servus meine Lieblingsleute!

This one won't be as long don't worry.

So this week has been pretty great. We are definitely putting more work in. We have both been trying harder on Facebook and just on the street to find people willing to talk with us.

I had texted someone a couple weeks ago who hadnt been contacted since March, and he decided that he wanted to try and meet with us. We met with him on Wednesday, and he said he wants to meet again next week. We just got to know him mostly, and talked a little bit about his views on God and stuff, but he is really nice and interested in what we have to offer. He is actually from India and speaks English, which is nice (although it seems as my German slowly improves, my English slowly gets worse...but don't use "good" and "well" incorrectly, because no matter how bad my English is, good and well will still drive me crazy, sorry). Anyways... both of our other friends interested in the Church are still really interested, but they are both really busy with work, so we haven't been able to meet lately.

We went to Frankfurt again yesterday! I had to get my Anmeldung done (which is like essentially being registered into Germany, and then also you have to register into the city you live as well). Which was fun. We took 2 1 hour trains there, mostly through cities, but on the way back we took one 3 hour train through the countryside and some of the smaller towns which was really cool. It made me really appreciate where I am right now.

As far as experiences with German people go this week, we were walking past some Jungs (some teenage boys) who were smoking up a storm, when one of them asked us a question really fast about something that I only partially understood, but Elder Jacobsen responded with "We're from America" (in german of course) and they were all like "oh my gosh, whaaatttt?!?! Wow thats crazy" (in german). I don't understand what the young Germans facination with Americans is (its probably cause of TikTok honestly) I feel like some sort of commodity here. But im not complaining, I get more attention here than anyone else ever gave me. (just kidding... love you mom).

Spiritual thought of the week. You got to try it for yourself. The only way you can know if God is there for a fact, is if you try to form a relationship with Him. The only way you can gain a personal witness of anything in life is if you have the faith to try it out. A testimony comes from faith, not the other way around (as difficult as it is). And as always, I know that God and Jesus Christ live, and that Christ suffered so that we can be made whole, no matter what in our life is missing. :)

Peace out meine Kumpels
