Progression, A German Breakfast, And Lots And Lots Of Driving

Hallo Alle!

What a week! Another one gone by.

This past Friday we met with our friend Pei Chuan and she is moving forward so fast. Qe were able to have one of our members who speak Chinese there with us, so he was able to explain things and share experiences that she didnt understand in German which was awesome. Even without a Christian background, she already seems to have developed a relationship with Christ. We gave her a pamphlet about the Plan of Salvation that had a picture of Christ on it after His resurrection, and at the end of the lesson she just picked up the picture and couldnt stop crying. She said how much she loved it and how good it made her feel. That was a really cool experience.

We also had breakfast at a members house, and it was a lot of fun. The Schröders are a really nice and really cool. It was a classic German breakfast with rolls, different types of sausage and bacon, and a ton of different types of cheeses. It was all really good, and they actually gave us two jars of fresh honey from the bees that they keep in their backyard. They also told us how they have gone across the US through all the Church history sites, and had a lot of cool experiences.

We had to go get our flu shots in Heidelberg on Monday, so the Trier Elders picked us up and we drove to Heidelberg. Once we were done we spend back to Saarbrücken to help a girl from France move into her apartment. (Side note - moving furniture up skinny German apartment stairs is not a fun adventure) She's going to the University and is a member, so thats exciting because she is essentially one of the first young adults in our ward. Then we drove another hour up to Trier for splits. I was with Elder Fingerle and he is such a fun guy. We did a bit of street contacting and nothing stopped him from talking to people, so he sorta inspired me to "fear no man!". Also his German is really good, maybe cause he is German. Im not sure if that has anything to do with it though.

Then we drove 2 hours to Frankfurt for ANOTHER mission conference this time with Elder Alliaud of the Seventy. He gave a general conference talk two years ago if you want to check it out, it's pretty good. It was a two and a really good time. He was so incredibly funny, but I also learned a lot. Something I liked that he said is how when we repent the Lord promises to forget our sins, but Satan doesn't make the same promise. He will always seeks to make us as miserable as he is, so he will still continue to try to remind us of what we have done even if we have been forgiven by the Lord.

Anyways it was an awesome week, and definitely a ton of fun! Ill talk to yall next week
Tschüss meine Kumpels
