The Plague, Mutual, And Rules
Grüß euch!
This week was great! (For the most part)
On Saturday I had a bit of a cough but thought nothing of it. On Sunday it was getting a bit worse, and I was trying to not annoy everyone during Sacrament meeting. Throughout the day it got a lot worse, and my sinuses started to wack out, so I went and got tested for COVID.... and...... I tested negative yayyy! I still felt like I had some crazy disease and that my body was going to explode, but I survived! So I think its been allergies cause I bought some allergy meds at the pharmacy (also shout out to the lady at the pharmacy who gave me a tissue when she heard me sniffling). But we are doing better today!
On Tuesday Morning we got the call that Elder Urban finally tested negative and would be heading over here to Darmstadt, so my temporary but amazing 1 week companion Elder Stevens left as well for Nürnberg. It was a fun time!
We also visited a family we didn't know who were new in the ward. She is from Brazil and he is from here, and they met over the Mutual dating app! They were both looking for someone, and were getting pretty desperate and so they set their boundaries worldwide, and what do ya know! They were meant for each other!
So far it has been awesome with Elder Urban. He is such a great guy, I have already learned a lot from him. We have been meeting a lot of cool people on the streets and in buses lately. I stopped one guy who told me that although he thought that what we do as missionaries is great, he wasn't very interested. I just bore testimony to him about the beauty and power of the Book of Mormon, and the Spirit was really strong. He still wasn't too interested but we exchanged numbers and he said he has a friend who he thinks would be interested so he's putting us in contact! So that was a pretty good experience.
Also Germans really do like their rules. Our neighbor complains to the Landlord whenever he hears us too much, and so our Landlord showed us the contract of the apartment complex. Apparently we aren't allowed to run our washing machine, dryer, or even shower between 8pm and 8am or between 1pm and 3pm (the midday peaceful time apparently). It also specifically says that we have to close doors quietly. But anyways we are trying our best!
Sorry but that's all for this week folks! Love y'all and miss yall!
