Krazy Kinder, Christian Country, Doorstep Dudes

Hallo alle!

This was a great week!

On Monday we had Zone Conference. We did it together with the youth in the stake, so in the morning we did all of our spiritual/devotional stuff and in the afternoon we did sports and games. It was a lot of fun, and it was awesome to get to know everyone. It is crazy to think that I probably acted the same way when i was younger as all these 14 yr olds chucking dodgeballs at peoples faces and throwing a fit when they get out because the other team "cheated". Memories!

Actually on Thursday after PDay last week we did some street contacting and person after person just blatantly rejected us or didn't even acknowledge us, so we were feeling a bit discouraged. Then I stopped these two guys, and after just asking them what makes them happy in life, they told us to come with them and worship in the park. So we were like "Ok.... interesting...but why not!?" So we did, and they pulled out a guitar and just started singing Christian pop and rock songs, and it was a lot of fun. They were both really spiritual and it was so cool to hear them just bare pure testimony of Jesus Christ. I must say, I really did not expect to be sitting in a park in Darmstadt Germany singing songs about Jesus with a Nigerian and a Filipino.

That same night we met a group of guys from India literally on our doorstep who were interested in learning more! We ended up giving one of them a church tour (Harry), he came to church, and our ward soccer activity! He said it feels like home when he walks in the church. He is such a cool kid and so open to learning more. He has already built a ton of trust, and he even asked us for dating advice! He even asked if it said anything in the Bible or Book of Mormon about how to find the right person to marry or how to ask someone out! Unfortunately it doesn't but you can always pray about it!

I have really noticed on my mission that the Lord always rewards effort (even if it is a small amount), even when it isn't in the form that we would think. When we strive to help other people and be like Jesus Christ, the Lord will bless us and our lives. I promise you can see God's hand in your life all around you if you just look a bit closer. As I have done this, my testimony of God's existence has grown.

Anyways today we went to Heidelberg and saw the cool castle there! See the pictures below!

Love and miss yall!

Tschüss!!!!
