Orbits, Miracle Finding, And Who Is This Guy?
Hallo Leute!
Man guys! This was an incredible week!
We have really started to see the success from our efforts this week.
I think I mentioned this last week, but Ceylin, who was taught earlier by the missionaries (i met her once in my first transfer here in Darmstadt) decided that she wants to get baptized!!!! We had lost contact with her for a while, but we happened to run into her at Frankfurt train station, which has thousands of people going through it every hour. What are the chances! That night she texted us telling us she wanted to get baptized. God had our orbits collide! It was meant to
be.
Yesterday we did a district finding acitvity and saw so many miracles. I was with Elder Frew, and in just about 30 minutes we met 3 people who were genuinely interested and we exchanged numbers!
We also went on exchanges with the Office Elders, and I was with Elder Jones in Frankfurt. Since he had never done it before, and I had only done it once before, we decided to do a bit of door knocking. After about an hour, we found one guy and his family who were interested in learning more and told us to come back next week!
Of course I can't forget that it was general conference weekend! We watched it with the ward Saturday evening and on Sunday, and there was even a cake buffet haha. I loved all the talks, but for some reason just one big message stood out to me. I have been thinking a lot about what I am supposed to PERSONALLY contribute to my mission. Why did God send me here? And what really stood out to me was the theme of "compassion". I am here to show people love, to help people, and to help them know and feel god's love for them as His children. General conference is always the best! Let me know what your favorite talk was or something that you got out of it.
Today we had the opportunity to go to the temple again. I love going to the temple and being able to feel the Spirit so strongly. When we walked in and were heading to go change clothes, the temple president came up and said hi. He gave me a hug and asked how our week was, even though I had never met him before. It made my day. In that moment I really felt the love of Jesus Christ, because although WE might not know Christ very well, He knows all of us perfectly, and will come up to us and give us a hug and ask us how our week was even though we might be thinking "who is this guy?".
Anyways yall thats all for this week! I love yall and miss all of you!
Tschüss!
