More Holiness Give Me

Hallo alle!

What a good week!

On Sunday we had an incredible lesson with Julian who is the boyfriend of one of our members, Eliza. Eliza is planning on going on a mission, and Julian was pretty disappointed, so he wanted to better understand why people go on missions. So we both explained why we are out here and what led us to decide to come on a mission. It was very spiritual, and Julian said he understood a lot better why Eliza wanted to go and was not so disappointed anymore.

We also had a lesson with our friend Ozan. Meditation is his specialty, and says he has had a couple out of body experiences. He is actually totally open, and said he would pray about the truth of the Book of Mormon, which was way cool. He already has been able to identify God in his life, and so he is looking forward to praying and receiving an answer from God. But he also taught us how to meditate, so I am going to be trying that out sometime. Maybe I can go haunt people when I have my out of body experience!

I don't have much more to say this week but I just want to share something that really touched me. The lyrics to the song "More Holiness Give Me"

More holiness give me,

More strivings within,

More patience in suff’ring,

More sorrow for sin,

More faith in my Savior,

More sense of his care,

More joy in his service,

More purpose in prayer.

More gratitude give me,

More trust in the Lord,

More pride in his glory,

More hope in his word,

More tears for his sorrows,

More pain at his grief,

More meekness in trial,

More praise for relief.

More purity give me,

More strength to o’ercome,

More freedom from earth-stains,

More longing for home.

More fit for the kingdom,

More used would I be,

More blessed and holy—

More, Savior, like thee.

I have thought a lot about the person I want to become. THAT is what I want. That is my prayer everyday of my mission. And will be my prayer everyday of my life.

Love you guys!

Bis nächste Woche

Elder Allan
