Let Us All Press On
Hallo liebe Leute!
Another week filled with a lot of cool experiences.
On Friday we had a lesson with a philosopher that went a little bit over time, and so we were going to be late to our next lesson. We started to drive over to our next lesson at a park, but as we were driving, our next lesson was canceled. So we had to decide whether we would just keep going to the park and just talk to people, or turn around and go do some studying. We decided to go to the park anyway. Once we got there, we realized how cold and rainy it was, and there were not many people out. But we decided to keep going. We stopped this one girl named Anette and ended up walking with her for 45 minutes answering her questions about life after death and how to find peace in life. She was so interested! As we bore testimony to her, the Spirit was so strong! We ended up exchanging numbers and we will be meeting with her tomorrow. There are no coincidences!
On Sunday we also had an incredible lesson with Liam, who is only 16 but is so interested in the GOspel and getting to know God. We had our lesson with him in the same park we had found Anette in. We walked and talked and at the end he told us that he has never prayed before. We taught him and said a prayer first, and afterwards he said a prayer himself. It was one of the nicest, most pure prayers I have ever heard. He thanked God that he now has the opportunity to get to know him and learn more about Jesus Christ. The Spirit was so strong. Afterwards we asked him how he felt, and he described it as a peaceful and really good feeling. That's the Spirit!
Yesterday we had some extra time, so we went to the same park to go talk to people for 30 minutes. The first person we stopped was a polish woman who was so excited to hear about the Gospel and wants a Book of Mormon. The next person we talked to was a guy named Andreas who loves Jesus wants to know more about what we believe and what the Book of Mormon is about. That park is a miracle park!
This week I have a new theme song.
Let Us All Press On
Sometimes when things get hard, or I get too much in my head, it always helps me to remember this verse of the song.
"If we do what’s right we have no need to fear,
For the Lord, our helper, will ever be near;
In the days of trial his Saints he will cheer,
And prosper the cause of truth.
Fear not, though the enemy deride;
Courage, for the Lord is on our side.
We will heed not what the wicked may say,
But the Lord alone we will obey."
I hope you all have an incredible week!
Miss yall und love yall.
Bis nächstes mal!
Elder Allan
