Fear Not!

Hallo Leute!

This week was really awesome. I cannot believe that in just 2 weeks I will be back in the US. I am loving my time on the mission!

Our friend Markus is doing so well! He has not smoked for an entire week! He is doing so well and is on track to be baptized on the 13th. He bears such strong testimony every single time we meet with him. He told us that every time he has the urge to smoke, he pulls up the Book of Mormon on his phone, reads a couple verses, and the urge goes away! He is such an incredible example to me. Please pray for him!

We also headed up to Dortmund this past week for the Zone Conference up there. It was really nice to see the city, the apartment, and the church building again. It brought me back to the glory days of my time in Dortmund. It made me think about how grateful I am for the experiences I have had on my mission.

We also had our Frankfurt Zone Conference, and one of the presentations really impressed me. The STLs gave a presentation about choosing faith over fear. Fear is truly the opposite of faith. It is a commandment to not be fearful! Isaiah 41:10 it says "Fear not, for I am with you;". Always remember that the Lord is with you, and is there for you. There is truly no need to fear anything! If we are keeping the Lord's commandments, and striving to be like Jesus Christ, everything will work out. Elder Neil L. Andersen said "At times we thoughtfully wonder why the miracle we have so earnestly prayed for does not happen … Whether in this life or the next, all will be made right". Remember that! No matter what is going on right now, everything will work out in the end.

President Hammon also gave an awesome presentation about the gathering of Israel. In the past years, our mission has baptized people from 54 different countries. How incredible is that? The Lord is leading people from all over the world to this place, at this specific time, so that they too can have the chance to learn about Jesus Christ and receive the joy that comes from His Gospel. The Lord has a plan for all of us and puts us into the paths of other people so that we can touch their lives and so that they can touch ours. The Lord loves everyone and knows everyone so individually, and knows exactly what we all need. I have really gained a testimony of that on my mission.

You are all incredible, I love you all!

Bis nächste Woche!

Elder Allan
